Academic Leadership Team

Tracy Moxley, Head of School

Tracy Moxley is an experienced international education leader with expertise in school improvement, curriculum development, and innovative learning models. She has held senior roles in the UK, Europe, and the UAE, including leading schools in Dubai, opening the first UAE Charter Schools, and directing the global pilot of the IBO Cloud-Based Diploma Programme. She has also served as Director of Education for two global education groups and has contributed to multiple international accreditation visits.

She has developed international student and teacher exchange programs, co-founded The Kindred Project, a student-led NGO supporting schools in India, Morocco, and Uganda, and collaborated with Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Project Zero. A published author on the IB Middle Years Programme and contributor to educational texts, she has created online courses on technology in education. Tracy holds a degree in Psychology and Sociology, a Master’s in Media Education, a Professional Diploma in International Education from UCL, and a National Professional Qualification in Executive Leadership.

Caitriona Lane, Lower and Middle School Department Chair

Caitriona Lane has worked with iCademy Middle East for 6 years, first starting as a homeroom Lower School teacher before moving to the Middle School team to work as the Life and Physical science teacher. In 2016 Caitriona became the Lead Teacher for Middle School before transitioning to her current position.

Caitriona graduated from the University of Limerick, Ireland, with a Bachelor of Education in Biological Science with Physics and a Master of Education in Mentoring.

During Caitriona’s 12 years of teaching experience, she has remained student focused, seeking to actively engage students and incorporate fun and creative ideas to allow her students to become proficient in science. In her leadership role she has a desire to cultivate holistic education for children throughout the world, trying to actively engage the minds of future leaders.

Maya Sleiman, High School Department Chair

Maya Sleiman is the High School Department Chair at iCademy Middle East. As a member of the senior leadership team she assists in the academic and operational aspects of High School and supports efforts to improve student performance.

Maya is from the United Kingdom and has now been residing in Dubai for the past 15 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from North London University in the UK and holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Sunderland UK. She brings significant teaching and management experience in the education field. Over the past 10 years she has assumed teaching positions educating students across different grade levels. Before her current position she served 4 years as an Academic Advisor for Middle and High School here at iCademy. She is very passionate about Education and providing student with high quality personalized education to achieve student potential.

Paula Treacy, Knowledge Hub Director & Head of Inclusion 

Paula Treacy has been part of iCademy for a decade, serving in multiple key roles, including Learning Coach, Head of the iCad+ SEN Program, and Head of Middle School, before stepping into her current position as Director of the Knowledge Hub and Head of Inclusion.

Paula brings over 20 years of teaching and leadership experience across both mainstream and special educational needs (SEN) settings. She holds a B.Ed. in Home Economics from Trinity College Dublin and has been living in Dubai for the past 12 years.

Passionate about creating inclusive educational environments, Paula is deeply committed to empowering every student to reach their full potential. She believes in educating the whole child, balancing academic achievement with personal growth and well-being. Known for her nurturing and caring approach, she actively fosters open communication and collaboration, cultivating strong and supportive relationships with students, staff, and families alike. Her vision is rooted in the belief that inclusive education is not just about access but about ensuring every learner feels valued, supported, and inspired to thrive.

Non-Academic Team

Linbert Peneda, General Manager and Finance Director

Linbert Peneda holds the position of General Manager and Finance Director at iCademy Middle East, overseeing the business and commercial operations of the school.  A highly skilled Finance and Accounting professional with 25 years of experience working in various industries such as Education, Retail, Real Estate, Construction, and Oil & Gas, Linbert has held positions in corporate accounting, commercial business, and FP&A.

A resident of the United Arab Emirates since 2006, Linbert joined the company in 2010 as a Contract Accountant.  He then moved into the full-time role as Finance Manager in 2014 to lead the Finance and Administration team as the school expanded its operations in the UAE and the Middle East under Pansophic Learning.  Linbert was promoted to Finance Director in 2021 and then to General Manager in January 2025.  He has 15 years of solid institutional knowledge and experience in leading iCademy to achieve continuous growth, sustainability, and profitability.

Linbert graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting (Honors) and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is continuously focused on developing his professional education by taking Finance, Business, and Leadership courses through Harvard Business School.

Fiona Clark, Director of Operations

Fiona Clark serves as the Director of Operations for iCademy Middle East, bringing over 15 years of experience in International Enrollment of students in an Online & Blended-model educational setting in the GCC, Europe and Asia. Prior to joining iCademy she worked in the Operations and Project Management field within a variety of Financial Institutions such as Royal Bank of Scotland and Skandia Life.

Fiona holds a Batchelor of Science in Technology & Business studies from Strathclyde University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology from the University of St Andrews.

 

 

Sara Constantine, Registrar

Sara Constantine serves as the Registrar for iCademy Middle East and the International School of Berne Online. Originally from Texas, Sara has spent most of her career in Asia and in the Middle East. With over 15 years of experience in Registry, Admissions and Marketing, she has played a pivotal role in opening schools in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Dubai. Sara’s extensive background includes developing and implementing strategic enrollment initiatives, enhancing student recruitment processes, and fostering strong relationships with families and educational communities.

Her dedication to education and her global perspective make her an invaluable asset to the iCademy and International School of Berne Online communities.

 

 

Smira Ahmed, Community Relations and Enrollment Manager

Smira Ahmed brings over 15 years of experience in the UAE, combining her deep understanding of the local market with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from York University in Toronto, Canada. Her professional journey blends corporate marketing expertise with hands-on experience in education as a teaching assistant, uniquely positioning her for her role as Community Relations and Enrollment Manager at iCademy.

Smira leverages her marketing skills to craft impactful outreach strategies and her educational background to connect meaningfully with families and students. She is dedicated to building strong relationships, enhancing community engagement, and supporting iCademy’s mission of providing accessible, high-quality education to students worldwide.

 

 

Governing Board

Ron Packard, CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

As CEO and founder of Pansophic Learning, the global technology-based education company that operates iCademy Middle East, Ron Packard is highly regarded in his field. He is well known as an educator, entrepreneur, and visionary and is the author of ‘Education Transformation’ – a book that demonstrates why technology is critical to the future of education.

Mr Packard was the long-time CEO and founder of K12 Inc and in that role oversaw the growth of K12 from an idea to a billion dollar business. It is now one of the world’s leading education companies. Before K12, Mr Packard was vice-president of Knowledge Universe and CEO of Knowledge Schools, one of the USA’s largest early-childhood education companies.

He was instrumental in the successful investments in Learn Now, Children’s School USA, Leapfrog, TEC, and Children’s Discovery Center. He has also received the Education Industry Association’s James P. Boyle Entrepreneurial Leadership Award.

Maria Szalay, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, Pansophic Learning

Maria Szalay brings more than 20 years of strategy, operations, and development capability to Pansophic Learning. She joined K12 in 2000 and was instrumental in growing it from a pre-revenue startup to a $900 million public company. In this time, Ms Szalay served in a variety of roles including product management, product development, operations, strategy, and corporate development.

Before joining K12, she was practice director at Operon Partners, an e-business consulting firm where she led consulting teams assisting clients with business strategy, product management, and business transformation consulting services. She worked directly in client organisations developing business plans to obtain funding, and assisted with the implementation of online initiatives, with specialized expertise in integrating these solutions with their bricks-and-mortar business.

 

 

Martha Burnige, Executive Vice President, Pansophic Learning UK

Martha Burnige is a senior education executive with more than 10 years’ experience of working with schools and education institutions. After seven years as a lawyer in London with two leading education law firms, Stone King and Veale Wasbrough Vizards, she became the in-house lawyer for Prospects Services, a large UK education and training group with a turnover of more than £80m.

In 2013 she was recruited by a former client, Mosaica Education, an international education company operating charter schools in the US and private schools overseas, where she worked on international business development focused on the Middle East. In July 2015 Mosaica was taken over by Pansophic Learning. As Executive Vice President, Martha Burnige is responsible for all UK operations and is a trustee and a member of the executive team of Aurora Academies Trust, a group of five UK schools sponsored by Pansophic Learning.

As well as being a governing board member of iCademy Middle East, she is also a board member of the International School of Berne in Switzerland.
